Partition generator

The generator creates large well formatted rhythm pages (such as those on the WAP site) from minimal typed descriptions. To see the system at work, press on the GENERATE button. This will create a page for "Kake Lambe". For other rhythms, replace the Kake Lambe description with your own rhythm.

Enter your rhythm below:

The first line is used as the name of the rhythm - use a "/" for a sub-title or source. The other lines describe the various parts. Each part description must start with the Intrument name followed by a colon (":") and is terminated by a semicolon (";"). Other significant characters are:
"&" which starts a new line on the printed partition
"/" which starts a new line with "handing" (left/right) information
[Can also be used for Bell part].
Note that spaces play no part and a silence is indicated by a dash or a period. Other letters used in this example (B,O and C) are compatible with the notation of our MIDI Sound Generator.
  • Short lines are extended and we deduce wether we are in 3 or in 4 from the number of notes.
  • Alternatively, you can force a grouping in N by adding "/N" to the instrument name. See second part: Djembe1 written in "4"!
